Anonymised case: 44-year-old, Lp(a) 320 nmol/L, no other risk factors
No family history he knows of, LDL 2.4 mmol/L on no therapy, CAC score 0, non-smoker. Question is whether to start a statin now purely on Lp(a), or to repeat imaging in 3 years. Interested in how others weight a zero CAC against a very high Lp(a) at this age.
